Free public wireless networks are popping up all around from coffee shops, fast food restraints, bookstores, and sandwich shops. While they are convenient and easy to use they do pose a security risk. These wireless networks are completely open to the public and have no security. Hackers will frequent these locations and hack into computers. To protect against hackers turn off File and Print sharing for wireless networks. We have create a quick guide to show how to turn off File and Print sharing. Remember that free wireless networks are convent they have security risks.
Windows XP
Step - 1: Click on the start key and go to Control Panel.

Step - 2: Click on Network and Internet Connections.

Step - 3: Then click on Network Connections.

Step – 4: Right click on the Wireless Network Connection and go to Properties.

Step - 6: Uncheck the box that says File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks and hit OK.
